Breaming- A User Manual

‘Breaming’- what does that mean?

Make your up your own new meaning for this old nautical word (it used to refer to a way of cleaning the barnacles and stuff  off a ship’s hull using a little bit of fire… )

Here’s some suggestions for our draft user manual:

  1. Do nothing (sit back and relax, or at least try to do as little as possible)
  2. Bring your own sheets, towels (beds are single and double sized mattresses)
  3. Bring extra pillows and blankets if it’s busy, cold or you like your own stuff
  4. Bring your own food and household goods and contribute to the shared food already there
  5. Read specific info for using appliances, fire place, waste, security
  6. Read up on the local activities and features
  7. Read up on the the stuff that’s already in the house– n.b. it has most basics but doesn’t have everything you might consider ‘basic’.
  8. Please don’t ‘donate’ stuff to the house- we’ll have to move it all into storage.
  9. If you see something that needs doing or want to be useful refer to the task list
  10. Check the task list below when you ‘check-in’ and ‘check-out’
  11. Sit back and enjoy the view

Tasks Lists

Tasks listed in priority order: number ‘1’ tasks are required each time you ‘check-in’ and ‘check-out’; other tasks are lower priority or lower frequency…
